Getting there, and getting around.
Mykonos is easy once you’re on it. The trick is the last leg, so read this before you book anything.
Planning your route
Getting there.
Most of us are flying from Toronto. Every route is overnight, so leave on Thursday, June 24 and you land on Friday, the 25th. Late June is high season, so book early, and if the planning is stressing you out, tell us: we’re happy to help.
01 · YYZ → ATH → JMK
Nonstop to Athens, then a hop
Air Canada, then Aegean, Olympic, or Sky Express
Air Canada’s nonstop leaves Toronto at 6:35 PM and lands in Athens at 11:10 AM the next morning, about 9½ hours. You can head straight on to Mykonos the same day, or stay a night and see Athens first. If you’d like the extra night, leave Toronto a day earlier, on Wednesday, June 23. From Athens it’s a 40-minute flight to Mykonos, and there are several a day.
Or come by sea. Ferries leave from Piraeus (Athens), the main port, and Rafina (Athens), which is closer to the airport. Fast boats take two to three hours, the big slow ones four to five. Book ahead and leave some slack: on very windy days the fast boats don’t always sail.

One stop, straight to Mykonos
British Airways
Leaves Toronto at 10:00 PM, 1½ hours in London, and lands on Mykonos at 5:40 PM the next day. About 12½ hours all in, and no second airport in Greece.
The airport is about ten minutes from the villa. Coming from somewhere else? In summer there are direct flights to Mykonos from a lot of European cities, so look for one of those first.
Around CA$1,350 round trip when we looked.
Coming home, the Athens nonstop leaves at 1:10 PM and lands in Toronto at 4:55 PM the same day. Book it for Wednesday, June 30 or later and you get a slow last morning.

The island
Where everything is.
Ferries from Athens come into the New Port at Tourlos, a few minutes north of town. The Old Port, right in town, is where the Delos boats and the sea bus leave from.

- Where the ferries from Athens land, about 2 km north of town. A sea bus, a taxi, or a pre-booked transfer gets you the rest of the way.
- Old Port · Mykonos Town
- The pretty one, right in town. Boats to Delos and the sea bus to the New Port leave from here.
- Airport · JMK
- About ten minutes from town, on the road toward the south beaches.
- The villa · Super Paradise
- On the south coast above Super Paradise Beach, about 20 minutes from town by car.

Getting around.
We’re still putting this together. The short version: we’re planning to move everyone around in Sprinter vans for group activities, so you won’t need to sort those yourself.
- Sprinter vans
- Our plan for most of the week’s group activities. We’re working on vans to take everyone to whatever we get up to during the week.
- Renting a car or ATV?
- Email us at sarahalexb.wedding@gmail.com before you book, so we can sort out parking at the villa. The roads are narrow and parking near town is hard in summer, so rent small or choose an ATV.
- Taxis
- Can be scarce, and pickup is generally only at designated points. Prices vary but are usually fairly expensive, and sometimes cash only.
- Sea taxis
- In summer, small boats hop along the south coast between the beaches, Super Paradise included.
Where you’re staying
All of us, at the villa.
Everyone is staying at Super Paradise Villas, which is also where the wedding is. It’s $750 per guest for the five-day villa stay. An early RSVP genuinely helps: we’re working out who sleeps where at the villa. The deadline is December 1, 2026.
